We proudly present a 1/9 scale replica of the Viet Nam Veteran's Memorial with pictures of visitors to the Memorial in Washington, D.C. and an index catalog.

We have two uniforms of WWI of particular interest.  First Lt. Albert Troxel was a pilot in the Army Air Corps (later to become the US Air Force in WWII).  Mrs. George E. Troxel has donated his uniform with original wings, flying gloves, officer's cap, red wound stripe, and three service stripes.  Also presented is an men's enlisted  uniform with cartridge belt and gas mask in its carrier, wool leggings, and brown shoes.

Captain James Weis of the 138th Infantry Regiment of the 35th Infantry Division was a prominent St. Joseph citizen who fought in WWI.  He came from a strong military family, having ancestors who fought in the Napoleonic era, Civil War, and the battle of Camden Point.  He formed Company B of the 5th Missouri Infantry and participated in the Battle of Saint-Mihiel and the Battle of Argonne Forest.  He was wounded twice and received the Purple Heart and the Croix De Guerre.  While stationed in Paris toward the end of the war, he and 19 others created the first American Legion Post.  We have on display many personal artifacts from his military career and his involvement in the American Legion.

And these are just a few of the many exhibits we have!
